April 10th, 2006

End of Month

Posted by freebird at 12:22 AM on April 10, 2006.

Its that time of the month again. oopz, i meant, time of the year- exams.

sigh~ exams starting in...3 days? and i'm halfway through studying for (note: not revising; studying) my first and second papers, no where through my third, and surprisingly, finished the textbook once through for my fourth as, you guessed it --- i remembered the wrong date. bweh.

well, that aside, i'm proud to announce my new strategy for breakfast (not exams, duh): to substitute soya milk for milk!!! Milk: $3.10. Soya Milk: $1.90. Save $1.20 a week. and add cereal to the mix.

its actually not THAT bad. the soya milk gets disgustingly sweet and chocolatey after i pour coco pops in, but i guess that shall be the case for milk as well.

den my cocopops grew ants. you know how the powdery chocolate flakes get stuck onto the outside of the plastic bag? well, the ants found it quite appetizing. and we'll never have noticed it if ET din walk in and see it. coz it's been some time since i last had cereal for breakfast, and i put the packet in some unreachable place above my line of vision. thank goodness he helped to flick the ants off and den we threw it into an old rusty container. -___-

back to studying. *cries*

tadaimasu~

ohayou~ hafn't been posting condusive stuff for a looooong time neh.

eh, if you're interested in exams, here's the run-down:

Linguistics was a fairly easy paper, which gave a lot of marks for very short answers. However I just couldn't remember the itsy bitsy details required, such as the names of the various morphemes and -nyms (acronyms, synonyms... yadar) and i think i cited the wrong test subjects =P

the last question was 12%, and gave a sample of 12 languages, and required one to identify which 6 came from the same family. i recognised Japanese, Chinese and Bahasa Melayu.

for these types of exams, if you don't know how to do, you don't know how to do. and i've got half an hour left over to draw this really cool dancer which stopped the examiner in his tracks. but anyway~ haha.

Directly the next day was Organization Behaviour. That's open-book, which meant you need to copy as much as possible within 2 hours. Horrible. Forgot I had another textbook, which had most of the content required. No wonder I couldn't do so many of the past year papers.

It really doesn't help that OB was this subject that had absolutely useless tutorials which consisted mostly of role-plays and simulations, most of the times our results deviated from the expected since no one had any idea what's going on and we just faked out anything.

Then Econs on Tuesday. interestingly, i mixed up the dates for the various subjects, but studied for the wrong subject on the wrong day, so luckily finished revision in time. Its very much like the A levels Economics, so there wasn't much trouble. *crosses fingers* let's hope i aced the exam, coz my normal quiz results are really really in deep shit. oopz.

Business Law was sho horrible i didn't even bother to blog about it... *cringes* *mumbles through the narrative for the subject*

next... IT! its the easiest paper i'd ever done; just that i forgot my definitions so i had no idea wat the "Enterprise Resource System" they were asking about was. (15% flew away nyo~ wahaha~) just remembered reading about it in the glossary and making a mental note about it. sigh~

and throughout the period my bf was bugging me to study and pulling me out to study and encouraging me to study.. coz if my results drop my parents are gonna kill us. lolz.

ooopz.
