i'm dead! *falls down on the floor and lies unmoving*

well, in true xueqi fashion, i screwed up with the pamphlets and put in the wrong web address for our event, so now we hafta set up a link. and it just occurred to me the event is like, in 2 weeks, and there's like zero publicity done? like how sad. and tho not my fault, the posters to be put up around NLB has this grossly misspelt "LIBARY TALKS" written in bold and font 80 across them, ooopz. :D

and starting this upcoming week, i'll be popping up all over Singapore distributing flyers and setting up booths to publicize the event, so do not be surprised to see a shortie along orchard road smiling at you and waving this big stack of pamphlets in your direction and screaming: "Image|Reel 2006, read all about it yo~" 

and my computer's scratch disk is strangely full, and i haf no harddisk space again, so i can do no bloody thing at all on photoshop. i'm pretty darn sure there's an awful buzzer in my system eating up all my memory, but i can't find it. (woot. update: adaware just came up with a bunch of trojans and virumode!?) grr.

ah~ everything's so fuzzy and woozy now; like my brain's going into denial-mode, and just filtering out everything i've got to do over the next 3 weeks except lunch. ooopzie.

*stares at virus scan and idles around* *dies* 

Two weeks ago, i went to Plaza Singapura with my parents, and came across a fluff sale. fluff= pillows and bolsters sale. and as if by a miracle, i met this seven-hole micro-fibre pillow, the biggest pillow i'd ever seen, going at $10.20 after an additional 20% discount.

upright, it is almost half my height, and across, much fatter than i am. i bought it immediately, and hugged it all the way home on the MRT.

no matter how much i lie on it, it bounces right back. hugging it is like hugging a giant cloud. putting my head on it feels like i'm floating. i affectionately named it the Nimbus Cloud.

it was getting exhorbitantly hot lately, so i brought it over to the air-con room last night... and it shrunk! my poor nimbus, wat had i done to you~?! i am now looking for the cure; i shall slowly nurse it back to health and full size again. and then it'll once again be the Nimbus that i love.

yay! it's alive~ it's alive~!

oh, i forgot to tell you the sunbird egg hatched. there's this greyish chick lying sprawled out in the nest now.

i was quite worried coz its been raining heavily here, and once again, the nest got soaked through. i dared not put anything over the nest as i'm afraid the birds would get scared and abandon nest.

and den lest walked in, and said: "the birds are making a lot of noise, and then it flew off le." and when i went to look, the mother bird's gone! and the chick's sprawled out unceremoniously and unmovingly in the nest. i was so bloody scared the chick's died from the cold.

but i just came back from lunch, and mother bird's back again, and there's faint chirping to be heard, so yay~

and my hostel room is now filled with the lacquer-like smell of 5000 pamphlets. thank goodness for lest; else it would be impossible to carry all these bloody pamphlets and posters back to school.

let's start with yesterday. got all the publicity stuff, got my manga exam question and medium papers, AND my bloody exam results all at one go.

when i came back to hall huffing and puffing from carrying the pamphlets, the first thing i noticed was that the room was =quite= clean. before that, my precious Dragonball shirt was hung out on the balcony! grrr!

at first i thought that yy had returned, and in a fit from seeing the room in such a mess, had thrown out my shirt. but that didn't make sense. my roomie is NOT that mean!

so immediately i sms-ed her to ask if she had returned to hall, and she said noo~ but the results are out! and we spent a long time discussing the results.

hmm. econs is a B again. actually, there's a lot of B's leh! *cries* *lays sleeping bags out on the driveway below and jumps the one storey down in anguish* but overall my GPA rose by 0.0something.

and then, rushed zo-cards designs till one in the morning, and when i settled down to sleep, i couldn't. perhaps it was the poisonous fumes from the pamphlets, but it felt very EERIE. there's weird VIBES and VIBRATIONS in the air, and random CLATTERING sounds, and once the wind CHANGED and lifted up the corner of my sleeves for a while, and I hear THUMPING noises that are not my heart emanating from the pillow beside my ear.

i almost ran off to lester's room -___-

i'm sniffing glue throughout the night, i tell you! airing the room now. grrr.

oh, and the mystery about the dragonball shirt lying outside on the balcony? i guess the aunties came in to do spring-cleaning, thought it was a rag (as which uni GIRL still wears dragonball righhht? grrr) and hung it out. damn.

On 24th and 25th June 2006, E2MAX@L-9 Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, we're giving a free showcase of 3D animation works from the renowned SIGGRAPH (USA) Convention 2005, together with some shots from Resfest 2006, and local works from our very own institutes and companies such as NAFA, NYP and ITE.

To spice up the program, we are also organising Counterstrike and Graffiti Art competitions with attractive prizes. You can also grab free goodie bags during the event, with free rogue magazines inside!

And also, to introduce everyone to the world of 3D animations, we are also holding free talks on "The Making of Gan Cheong Kin" and "Professional Production Methods" at the National Library this coming Saturday.

well, i spent the night at lest's, and this morning when i came back to my room, the nest is gone. clean gone, not a twig or feather left. huh?

so i met the auntie at the pantry and asked her about it. and she said the bird is dead. HUH? how can you be so sure?

"its lying on its back" >it always lies on its back.

"there's a horrible smell coming from the nest" >the nestling can't go out of the nest so it shits in there. might be that.

"the mother bird has left" >it was just in yesterday; mother birds leave in the mornings to get food.

"when i touch it before it moves. now it doesn't." >ok. wait, wat did you mean by touch it BEFORE?!

sigh. i don't want to think about this anymore. i just can't trust anyone else's words unless i get to see it for myself.

why am i here? well, i guess i do have to report on my progress; its been nearly a week le.

basically i came back home this week, to find my parents had left for malaysia with the handphone charger. so after the first day, my phone conked out, and i'd been surviving the last 3 days handphone-less, much to the inconvenience of my committee members and bosses.

but its really great as there's no irritating ringing of the phone every few hours with requests for updates, and its quite nice and peaceful here. felt quite apologetic towards everyone though. its very irresponsible but, hey, i'm burnt. i can't care less now, really. and its not like i din try to get a charger, i'm MIA-ing so often i can't meet up with samsung friends. anyway, sorry...

and i dropped by the manga class on sunday after missing for 3 weeks, and WHOA! everyone's almost totally done, and its really really good work! really really good work.. whew! i'll never be able to reach THAT in a million years, not to mention that i've only 2 weeks left to do my artpiece. everyone's seriously worried for me, lol.

sigh~ can't draw at home leh, especially since my parents forbid me from drawing anymore. they'll blow their top if they realise i signed up for the exam >.<
