...Sheesh I should really stop doing this, seeing as how i'm failing abysmally every year.

Its depressing.

But just in the hopes that a miracle will happen this year, here's the ten new resolutions for this year~!

1. get back to 45kg. and remain there over the freaking christmas holidays.

2. write. draw. growl.

3. go overseas with lester at least once!

4. read investment books

5. be more sociable, be a better person.

6. make a conscious effort to look better.

7. save up and buy stocks that actually appreciate.

8. figure out how my credit cards work and what are my existing insurance policies. (i have the feeling it'll never happen bleehz)

9. quit surfing the internet when i have nothing to surf for

10. get better at work... really...

There you have it! its getting simpler and easier to hit year by year! at this rate, my resolutions next year would be something along the lines of "win 90% of my freecell games, remember to breathe, buy 5 new clothes, drink water"

on another note, work ended at 6pm today. beautiful beautiful day. i love my life.

when you're sick and ends work at 10pm, you realize there's really nothing available to eat except chicken foldovers.

food is like, the focal point of my life. food and manga.

so midway through my OT (with no OT pay) i was already happily contemplating what to eat for dinner. there wasn't a lot of choices left seeing as how i was running this freaking fever and my nose is running a marathon, but i was really looking forward to a nice hot bowl of yong tau foo, or buying a can of campbells, or takoyaki, or buns, or dumplings...

and then i stepped into TM and realized that half the shops are closed and i was only left with KFC or Macdonald's.

for a second there i thought i had to go hungry for the night.

thank god for chicken foldover.

the sausage was salty, the bun was powdery and yeasty, it wasn't filling but its better than nothing.

baah.

i went to the optometrist's today, and the friendly uncle was trying to make conversation as he tested my eyes.

"so, you're schooling?"

oh no, here we go again, i thought. "no, i've just graduated recently."

"wah... haven't earn money start spending already huh"

now why wouldn't i have a job? that should have raised a few question marks, but you know how time flows quickly and i still do have a few jobless friends, and the economy is horrible now and blah so i replied casually "nah, i got a job le. haha"

"oh. so you found a temp job huh. good for you, they aren't hiring much in this economy"

it took me a second to realize - hmmm, he thought i just graduated from sec sch or jc.

and i was quickly shuttled to the next opt, who was a nice, friendly lady.

"so, you're schooling?"

oh no, here we go again, i thought. "no, i've graduated already. hahaha."

"oh, really? how old are you? i thought you were just 10+"

"nah, i'm 20+ already."

"wow, you look so young. i'm 20+ too. 20 what?"

i started having this very bad feeling. "22?"

"22 this year is it? really? me too!" i smiled, nodding absentmindedly. "wow, you look so young, i look darn old already. year of the rabbit right? 1987?"

my nod froze as i quickly did my maths. its year 2009 now. *kick kick kick self*

i felt like i was shut in a small room with no escape. what do i say?!

"uh, yeah... hahaha..."

shucks i'm freaking OLDER than her. i'm this weird old auntie and she's this young girl who thinks its the other way around.

and then i was pulling the lie off as awkwardly as i can when i realized i had to provide my ic number on the customer sheet.

sigh.

i have to work on chinese new year.

i can go to work late and leave early if i work fast enough.

so basically, to ensure i can finish my work on time, i went to the office this morning to clear up some work. the data should be in on Friday, so technically we can work on it anytime from Sat to Mon.

what no one knew was that some of the broker websites undergo maintenance on weekends.

and i've got a really bad feeling for tmr coz a lot of my broker data are not in, although they were supposed to be available on their respective websites since Friday.

so basically if they are still not in tmr, i'm in super OT hell on Chinese New Year. boo hoo hooo. Happy chinese new year .
